CT Band Syndrome and the CT Band Index – An indirect measure of the lever arm properties of the foot, ankle and leg.  The CT Band Index is a measure of concentric and eccentric force generated by the gastroc-soleal complex in relationship to BMI.  The purpose of this study is to quantify the change affected by gastroc recession and TAL procedures.  Project duration is 2003-present.   Submission of a three part paper (introduction, biomechanics, initial data) to The Journal of Gait and Posture is anticipated in the summer of 2007.
